School happenings…

The Sources of Strength white-out day was a success! Students and staff wore white for suicide awareness and wrote messages of gratitude and reasons they are thankful on balloons. The balloons decorated the gym where most everyone at the volleyball game was also in white. Thank you, Caliche, for supporting and joining our awareness!

Agenda for the special Board Meeting Sept. 29, 2021 at 6:00pm

Each week a 3rd Grader will pick a growth mindset message for our class and school. Thanks Kaden for this great message!

These freshman had a wonderful time in Brush for the BIG Conference. Thank you to the FFA State Officers for leading the workshops today!

Liliana is the second grade star student of the week!

Today, we learned where pizza was invented, ITALY!! Then, we followed directions on how to draw a pizza. Finally, we discussed what shape a slice of pizza is, what shape a whole pizza is, and what sound we hear at the beginning of pizza! WE LOVE PIZZA!!!

Math center learning and fun!! The Prairie First graders ROCK!!! ❤️😊👍

Freshmen and sophomores are analyzing “The Hero’s Journey” within myths, stories, and even movies. Next week they start their mythology unit and will be comparing and contrasting the hero’s journey in their individual novels to Odysseus, the hero of Homer’s “Odyssey.”

Fifth graders worked collaboratively and developed a plan to create a map that promotes and encourages people to visit one of our National parks. Some of the students were able to make calls to the parks they researched. Finally, they presented their project to their peers.
