The Prairie School District Board of Education has officially canceled the November 4, 2025, election.
As of the candidate filing deadline on August 29, 2025, three qualified candidates filed nomination petitions to fill the three open seats for School Director. Since the number of candidates equals the number of positions, an election is not required.
We are grateful for our community’s continued support and encourage you to welcome and congratulate our incoming members!
Susie Kester, for a four-year term from 2025-2029
Steve Kugler, for a four-year term from 2025-2029
Janie Shoemaker, for a four-year term from 2025-2029

Prairie School is hosting a Field of Flags to honor veterans and raise critical funds to support our ill and injured heroes.
Each flag represents one veteran – and our unwavering commitment to serving all veterans after they’ve sacrificed so much for our country.
All donations raise critical funds to support DAV (Disabled American Veterans) life-changing services for veterans in need and their families.
Will you join us? Help us reach our goal by clicking on the link below and make a gift to plant a flag in honor of an American veteran!
