
Creative Writing students have spent the last couple of weeks writing a fable type children's story. Yesterday and today they traveled to different elementary classes to share their stories! Great job guys!


6th grade had a lot going on today! We did a play for the elementary students and visited the 5th grade clinic to make get some "issues" taken care of!





Prairie Academic Awards Ceremony went off without a hitch today. Thank you to all the STUCO members for all your hard work throughout the year. Here is the STUCO outgoing officer team; President Maverik Mertens, Vice President Andrew Long, Secretary Brock Dollerschell and Treasurer Timothy Rhode.


Congrats to the 6th and 7th graders that met their end of the year reading goals! We took a field trip on Tuesday to celebrate! These students are: Alice Marler, Molly Walker, Wyatt Walker, Anabel Martinez, Kizzy Reinick, Jaden Oldewage, Wyatt Chacon and Ciree Whitney.

Congratulations to Luke, Wyatt and Riley for competing in a welding competition this past weekend. They earned a $1,000 scholarship to Western Welding Academy and toured the Welding, Electrician and Diesel Programs at Gillette College.

Reading Reward Trip
Seventeen 3rd, 4th and 5th graders went to The Summit on May 4, 2022. They bowled, played laser tag and went to the arcade. They ate pizza onsite. Thank you Mr. Joe Kugler for driving the bus.

Congratulations to Simon Marler who won 1st place in this year’s Nell Propst Historical Essay contest. Simon received $3,000 for his efforts in researching and composing his essay on the history of Log Lane Village: “The Rhymes of History: Prohibition and Marijuana”. This contest is open to students in eastern Colorado who are required to submit a written thesis on local history. Simon’s essay will be published in this year’s book of all entries and can be purchased at the Overland Trail Museum or Amazon.
