Today we gave awards to our elementary running club participants. We had over 50 students K-5th grade come to morning running club.(Not all were present for the picture). We met on 3 different mornings. Many of them ran over a mile each day. As a group they ran a combined total of 155 miles. Way to go, mustangs! Keep up the hard work. 💛 🐴 🏃🏻 🏃🏽♀️ 🐴 💛

Today, the 7th and 8th graders visited the Battle of Summit Springs monument near Akron. This area is the setting for a historical fiction book, Hawk's Cry, which was written by local author, Luanne Koester. The students completed a short hike, learned more about one of the book's characters (Tall Bull) from Mrs. Koester, and enjoyed lunch at Mrs. Mari's house.
