The freshman had a great time at BIG Conference yesterday! It was wonderful to see them grow as greenhands and interact with our Colorado FFA State Officers!

CORRECTION--- Thursday the students will be released at 1:35 and the buses will leave at 1:45. Friday's bus will leave at 1:15 pm.
Last night our volleyball teams played Arickaree. The Jr. high came away with a win as well as the HS JV. The HS varsity had a disappointing loss in 4 sets.
Next up is Jr. high VB, Jr. high FB and Varsity VB at Peetz on Thursday, Sept. 22. The Jr. high "C" VB team will start at 4:00 pm. The Jr. high "B" and "A' games will follow . The HS girls varsity game will be played after the completion of the Jr. high games. Jr. high FB game will begin at 4:00 also. Dismissal time for all players going will be 2:35 and the buses will leave at 3:45. We are allowing a little extra time for road construction on Highway 14. The HS. will play Weldon Valley on Friday, Sept 23, starting with Football at 3:00pm. "C" team Volleyball will start at 4:30 followed by JV and Varsity. GO MUSTANGS!!!!!

Arickaree just changed the game status for tomorrow. There will be only one Jr. High game but we will add a "C" game (one set to 25) for the high school. Thanks for hanging with us on this ever changing schedule.
Friday, the HS boys and Jr. High boys had football victories over the Bethune Boys. Nice job, Mustangs! Later that evening the Lady Mustang Volleyball team battled #2 ranked Fleming Wildcats but went down to defeat in 3 sets. They bounced back on Saturday to take 2nd place in the Brush Tournament. They defeated Haxtun and Wellington, both, in 2 before losing in the Championship match to Timnath. CONGRATULATIONS LADIES!! As I posted last week Monday's (Sept. 20) JV football game at Fleming, was canceled because of injuries keeping us from having enough JV players. We do have a busy rest of the week. Tuesday (20th) there is a home Jr. High (B,A) and HS JV. and Varsity Volleyball starting at 4:00 pm with Arickaree. Thursday (22nd), both of these teams as well as the Jr. High football team will travel to Peetz. Jr. HIgh football ( no 5th quarter will be played because Peetz does not have enough players) and Jr. High Volleyball (C,B,A) will start at 4:00 pm. The HS Varsity will follow to finish the evening. On Friday the HS teams will travel to Weldon Valley with Football starting at 3:00 pm. C team Volleyball will start at 4:30 with JV and Varsity to follow. GOOD LUCK MUSTANGS!!!!!!!!!

GAME DAY!!! We hope you can join us today for some Prairie Football and Volleyball; HS football starts at 2:00 followed by Jr.High football both against Bethune. Then our Lady Mustangs take on the Lady Wildcats from Fleming at 4:30 The senior class will have concessions and will be serving Jimmy John sandwiches. We hope you will have a chance to get out and support all of our Mustangs! These games and all of our fall schedule would not be possible without all of our volunteer help; chain crews, line judges, scorers, clock keepers, and announcers. I would like to acknowledge and thank all of you! Paxton is our Mighty Mustang is 3rd grade this week! Each week a student will share with everyone a growth mindset message! 😊
Worms! Worms! Worms! 5th graders got their hands dirty today while experimenting with worms! We had dancing worms, worms trying to escape and some who wiggled and hid. We know worms prefer damp and dark places to live out their best days!
The second graders designed hats to keep them cool if they were stranded on a desert island. They could only use supplies that might be found in a lunch box. They are so creative!
