What a fun filled day the second graders had on Friday learning about animal biodiversity and adaptations! We spent some time reading about different animal teeth and how they can help animals survive, learned about physical adaptations by exploring various bird beaks, and created bird house prototypes.

Zones of regulation.... Learning all about our emotions. Color zone green means happy and ready to learn. Color zone blue means sleepy or sick. Color zone yellow means silly or worried. Color zone red means angry or upset. Then we learned tools to help us when we need to get out of the yellow, blue, and red zone to get back to the green zone so we are ready to learn. Fun learning in kindergarten!!!!

We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you. We are trying to minimize any unnecessary exposure of the virus to our students or other community members before spring break, which begins tomorrow.  Please inform any community or family members that your student may have invited.  Thank you,  Mrs. Tabitha Piel and Mr. Joe Kimmel.
