3rd graders have been learning about properties in materials and how the properties can change. They were challenged to build a tall tower using notecards that was 12 inches or taller. The other challenge was to build a strong tower that could hold up a hardcover book. The students had grit during this activity while they made lots of mistakes and kept trying new ways to built their towers!

Prairie FBLA had a successful District Conference today! Members showed up dressed professionally and ready to compete in a variety of competitions. We had 20 members qualify for State! I will post details in the news section soon. Congratulations to all!

FBLA also hosted a workshop at our conference promoting safe driving to fellow teens as part of Drive Smart. Students played a kahoot of the facts they learned, pledged to wear their seatbelts and not text and drive, and attempted sobriety tests with impaired goggles.
