The #12 Mustang baseball team is on the road today to take on #5 Nucla in Simla for the regional tournament. Simla does NOT have the capability to livestream games.

Mrs. Bailey's 3rd grade class did a fantastic job on their rainforest dioramas. Make sure to check them out in person tonight at the Spring Talent Show that starts at 6:30 pm.

BOOK FAIR

Don't forget to check out the book fair tonight during the talent show and art show in the library. While you're down there, please be sure to check out the lost and found table that seems to be overflowing again!

Today, 6th grade went to Top Golf and Gunther Toody’s for lunch for their reading reward field trip. We all had a great time , maybe a little too much fun with all the sugar, but we all had so much fun!!

Friendly reminder from the Prairie Office:

As we near the end of the school year, we are asking families to please check and clear any outstanding lunch balances by next week. Some balances are currently quite high and overdue.

Payments can be made easily through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. If you need help accessing your account, checking your balance, or making a payment, please contact Jessica in the office and she'll be happy to help.
As always, you can pay with cash or check in the office as well.

Last week, our Junior High Track meet hosted the NCL and YWKC League meet . Both the boys and girls teams are LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!

The high school league track meet has been moved to Thursday. Track pictures will happen first thing in the morning at 7:45. The team picture will be taken outside in the bleachers. Stop by the office for an order form!

Today, the 7th and 8th graders visited the Battle of Summit Springs monument near Akron. This area is the setting for a historical fiction book, Hawk's Cry, which was written by local author, Luanne Koester. The students completed a short hike, learned more about one of the book's characters (Tall Bull) from Mrs. Koester, and enjoyed lunch at Mrs. Mari's house.

🏐💛The third through eighth grade Mustang volleyball teams have been spending their Sundays in the gym getting in some court time. Their commitment paid off and all of them improved so much over the season! Keep an eye out these girls are going to do amazing things! 💛🏐

We are proud to recognize Silas Price, a Prairie High School senior who leads with steadiness, character, and determination. Silas plans to pursue a lineman apprenticeship through Mountain States Line Constructors with the goal of becoming a journeyman lineman. He also looks forward to remaining actively involved in his family ranch. Silas is the kind of young man who leads by example. His work ethic, reliability, and grounded nature reflect the very best of Prairie. We are proud of you, Silas, and excited to see the impact you will make in the years ahead.

⚾️ Game Day Update! Today’s baseball games will be broadcast live on NFHS. If you can’t make it to the field, be sure to tune in and cheer on the team from wherever you are! #GoMustangs

We are so excited to host the district finals tomorrow! Below is important information for tomorrow. 10:00 AM- Haxtun vs Prairie 12:00 PM- Akron vs. Merino 2:00 PM- Winners of the first two games Admission for games are: Adults. $8.00 and $6:00 for students and seniors. CHSAA passes and CHSCA passes will be accepted. Games will be streamed on NFHS(subscription required) via Stormy Sports. There will be a food truck here in lieu of concessions. Four Quarters BBQ will be here throughout the day. He is set up to take cards, but recommends having cash just in case the Internet would go out.

We’re proud to be hosting the District Finals tomorrow, and even more excited that our Mustangs are advancing to the second round and get to compete on their home field. Come out, pack our beautiful sports complex and help support our team! 💛🖤 Four quarters food truck will be on campus for all your lunch needs! First pitch is slated for 10:00 am! Gooo Mustangs!
