Spanish class is moving along this school year. My girls are able to recite the 30 letters of the Spanish alphabet, greet me and say farewell in Spanish, and they know by heart all of the Spanish-speaking countries and their capitals. To meet our cultural standard for foreign language, the students completed a yarn painting to place in their lockers. We are currently studying cognates and a ton of vocabulary. We are building a strong foundation for what is coming, verb conjugation and intense grammar. I do not have a large class, but I am teaching high quality students- hard working girls, respectful, and they care about their grades.
