AG1
AG 1 is the first agriculture class students enter in the program. It is here that the foundation of agriculture education is taught. Students learn about FFA history, basic animal science, basic crops, basic mechanics, and record keeping. Along with record keeping each student must keep a supervised agriculture experience program (SAEP or ag project). Once a student starts a project and successfully recites the creed they are eligible fot the FFA Greenhand Degree. The students in this class this year are:
Clay, Jared, Kaleb, Taylor, Kristen, Rebecca, Chisom, Mitchell, Morgan, Jayce, Tyler
AG2
AGII is the class where students start going into more depth in agricultural concepts. We start learning about animal science in more detail. For example, we have units covering beef, swine, and sheep. In addition students become more proficient in mechanics. Students learn oxy-acetylene welding, are welding, mig welding, oxy-acetylene cutting and much more. Students will learn more about basic crop science and soils. The students in this class are:
Ciera, Tyler, Laci, Lauren, Leroy, Jeremiah
AG 3 & 4
Students in this class start learning the challenging concepts of agriculture, including animal science on a pre-college basis. In addition, we get into the science aspect of crops. Students at this point are leaders of the chapter and often participate in challenging leadership roles. Outside of the classroom students have an opportunity to work on their own shop projects. Also students have lengthy shop record cards that must be completed by the end of the year, showing they are proficient with the shop skills taught in the New Raymer ag program. The students of the Ag III and IV program are:
Kamber, Ethan, Rachael, Desirae, Kelsie, Rachel, Anton, Jennifer, Brianna, Seth, Kellie, Albert, Jase |
